You do not need an account to play Jigsaw Bistro, and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number. This notice explains which data we process and why, under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for players in the European Union, the GDPR.

What stays on your device
Your game progress, unfinished puzzles, settings and the fact that you passed the 18+ age check stay on your device and never reach us. We do not store your date of birth. Deleting the app deletes this data.
What we process when you play together
- Nickname, drink and the table record (the state of the puzzle, how many pieces each player placed): to run the shared table; necessary to provide the service (KVKK Art. 5/2-c; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Chat messages: delivered to the players at the table and not stored permanently. While a table is open, the latest lines are kept in memory for moderation; legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Reports and moderation: the nicknames of both players, the table code, the reason and the latest chat lines at that moment are kept for review; after 90 days the lines of players not involved are deleted. If we remove a player from a table for breaking the rules, their nickname stays in that table's record until the table is deleted. We keep a record of our moderation actions. Legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Traffic log: as required by Turkish Law No. 5651 and related regulations, the IP address, port, time, type of action (such as joining a table or sending a message), amount of data transferred, nickname and table code are recorded. The text of messages is not recorded. Legal obligation (KVKK Art. 5/2-a and ç; for players in the EU, our legitimate interest in complying with the law that applies to us, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
We also keep daily totals about how the app is used; they cannot be linked to anyone and are not personal data. Data is collected automatically and electronically through the app.
Who receives the data
Your nickname, drink and messages are visible to the players at the same table; if you set up a public table, your nickname is visible to everyone in the list of open tables. Our game server is in Turkey; data is processed by the provider hosting it, only to provide this service. If you email us, your correspondence is processed through our email provider, which may be outside Turkey. Data is disclosed to authorised public bodies or courts only when the law requires it, and only to the extent requested. Your data is not sold or used for advertising.
How long we keep it
Table records are deleted between 7 days and 1 year after the last activity at the table, depending on its size; reports and moderation records are kept for 1 year and traffic logs for 13 months, then deleted automatically. Backups are kept for at most 30 days.
Your rights
To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK or Articles 15-22 of the GDPR (access, correction, erasure, objection and others), write to jigsawbistro@gmail.com. Since we know you only by your nickname and nicknames are not unique, please include your nickname, the table code if you know it and roughly when you played; we do not ask for a copy of your ID. We reply in writing within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board or, in the EU, with your national data protection authority. Traffic logs that the law requires us to keep cannot be erased before their retention period ends, and are used only for the purposes above.
Age limit and protection of minors
Jigsaw Bistro is for people aged 18 and over; it is not offered to anyone under 18. When the app is first opened, you are asked for your month and year of birth; your date of birth is not stored, only the result stays on your device. A player suspected of being under 18 can be reported in the game and removed from the table. Since the service is not offered to anyone under 18, there is no separate service or parental control for ages 15-17. The app shows no advertising. If you believe your child is using the app, write to jigsawbistro@gmail.com and we will look into it. If you believe the age check was wrong, or you were removed from a table for this reason, write to jigsawbistro@gmail.com; a person reviews your request, free of charge. You may also complain to the Turkish Cybersecurity Directorate or go to court.
